• News: U.S. Equestrian Federation officials have named a partial short list for the 2010 Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team that will compete at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games here in Lexington, Ky.

• News: 60 National Federations have submitted entries in principle for the Alltech FEI 2010 World Equestrian Games.  Click here for a full list, but they range from Argentina to Venezuela. With 60 countries expressing an interest in attending, the World Games 2010 Foundation anticipates as many as 800 athletes could compete. Final entries and individuals will be named in August.
• News: Alltech has further strengthened its commitment to equestrian sport with an announcement that it will continue to support the Royal Windsor Horse Show and Olympia, The London International Horse Show until the year 2013. The announcement comes just months before the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010™, the largest equestrian sporting event ever held in the United States.
• News: The British Vaulting Team, our spotlight vaulters are training hard, and training winners, in an effort to raise money to bring their horse, Go for Gold to Kentucky this september for the Alltech FEI 2010 World Equestrian Games.
• News: Dressage Champion Anky van Grunsven moves a step closer to competing in two disciplines in the this year’s Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games at the Kentucky Horse Park, when she takes Reserve Champion at the CRI * Swedish National Reining Championship, a qualifier for the 2010 WEG.

• News: Craig Schmersal rode his stallion Boom Shernic to win the 2010 National Reining Breeders Classic last weekend in a tightly fought final in Katy, Texas. His score of 228 was half a point ahead of the two second place finishers, former WEG champion and 2010 radioshow guest, Shawn Flarida who rode Wimpys Little Chic, and Jordan Larson on Stop Like a Dream.
• News: The FEI Bureau has given it’s unanimous approval to new Stewards’ guidelines on warm-up techniques produced by the Working Group formed after the round table conference held in Lausanne, Switzerland in February. These new guidelines will be implemented on 15th May this year.
• News: Eight time national Champion four in hand driver Chester Weber has an artist in his team. Rolex W, is the latest equine celebrity to paint a “Moneigh” in aid of the ReRun Charity, and his artwork will be displayed here in Lexington during the three day event that bears his name.
• News: At their recent Annual Convention, the American Vaulting Association (AVA) presented Lifetime Achievement Awards, the highest award of the AVA, to Jeffrey Ashton Moore and Jan F. • News: The new FEI Equine Anti Doping and Controlled Medication Regulations and the Equine Prohibited Substances List went into effect this week for all FEI events.
• News: A new study by Dr Paul Coomes, Professor of Economics at the University of Louisville shows an increase in projected economic benefit for the State of Kentucky which stands to gain in the region of $167 million.
• News: The Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, joined the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority, or KIA, last week in a ceremony at the Kentucky Horse Park,to recognise a $1.95 million project funded in part through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
• News: Four taxis from Yellow Cab Company will show their support for the Alltech FEI 2010 WEG, on the streets of Lexington, starting this month. Yellow Cab will be wrapping four cabs with the Alltech FEI 2010 WEG logo, and in addition, each cab will have a special ID number to represent the Games.
• News: We have some news from the National Reining Horse Association about the High Roller Reining Classic to Benefit Equestrian Aid Foundation in Las Vegas in September. 800 top national and international horses and 2,000 riders will compete in this “AA” rated event, with over $150,000 in added money and prizes. A select few will come directly from there to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington for the Alltech FEI 2010 World Equestrian Games, to represent the US in the toughest international reining competition in the world.
• News: The sale of four new prints, as well as the original paintings, will benefit The Race for Education, and will also commemorate four disciplines at the Alltech FEI 2010 World Equestrian Games.
• News: Ireland will field a dressage team at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.

• News: Three Canadian Para-Equestrians were recently selected as torchbearers for the 2010 Paralympic Games.
• News: Rolex Legend Bruce Davidson will not be riding at the Three Day Event this year due to recent back surgery, but has not ruled out a comeback in time for the Alltech FEI 2010 World Equestrian Games, and many of the WEG hopeful eventers were out in force this weekend at Poplar Place and Southern Pines.
• News: On Friday, 5,000 Kentucky schoolchildren came to the KY Horse Park’s new indoor arena to see demonstrations of the sports being featured in this year’s World Equestrian Games.  The driving demonstration was provided by the folks at the Gayla Driving Center in Georgetown, KY, with Sterling Graburn driving a four-in-hand team of Hackney Ponies.
